Heat Safety Tips

For Extreme Heat (Level 4)

  • Stay indoors in air-conditioned areas
  • Drink plenty of water, even if not thirsty
  • Avoid outdoor activities, especially during peak hours
  • Check on elderly or vulnerable individuals
  • Never leave children or pets in vehicles

For High Heat (Level 3)

  • Limit outdoor activities to morning and evening
  • Take frequent breaks if working outdoors
  • Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
  • Use sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher
  • Drink water regularly throughout the day
